"The Sounds of Ukraine" heard in Toronto
The world-renowned KYIV CHAMBER CHOIR and Conductor MYKOLA HOBDYCH return to Canada for 12 concerts in 11 cities in 15 days.
Their first Toronto concert is Friday November 3, 2006, at 7:30 p.m., in the George Weston Recital Hall in the Toronto Centre for the Arts. For the first-ever North American concert antiphonal presentation of Ukrainian sacred music, they will be joined by Canada's Elmer Iseler Singers, Vesnivka Choir and Victoria Scholars Men's Choral Ensemble.
After intermission, "Folk Music of Ukraine" will be performed in the compelling manner that makes the Kyiv Chamber Choir unique in classical music.
