New cassette scandal
Oleg Liashko has promised a new tape scandal in Ukraine.
Liashko held a press conference at Verkhovna Rada(Paliament) where he detailed that he has recordings which will proove the fact that Olexander Moroz was bribed by the Party of Regions.
Oleg stated that the price paid for Moroz for defection to enter anti-orange coalition was $300 Million dollars. He explained that one of the representatives of the Ukrainian intelligence agencies had given him a copy of the telephone conversation between Region's Party Andriy Kliuev and the former Chernigiv city head Mykola Rudovskiy.
Liashko announced that these recordings prove that Kliuev gave Moroz through Rudovskiy $300 million dollars, as payment for breakdown of Orange Coaltion, and as downpayment for the future impeachemnt of Viktor Yuschenko
Oleg Liashko declared that he contacted Prosecutor General of Ukraine, in order that law-enforcing bodies would check the fact of bribery of one MP by the others. The original recording, he stated, was transferred to the prosecutor’s office, while he will make the copies public in the upcoming days.
The paradox of the situation is that six years ago Moroz was already a member of the "cassette scandal". However then he was hero when he made Melnichenko's tape public. At that time the whole world was shocked by the corruption in the higher echelons of power in Ukraine and the truth regarding journalist Georgiy Gongadze.
