Friends of the Jewish Simon Wiesenthal Center target Ukrainian Community!
It is with great sorrow that I have read an article published by Canadian Jewish News, which outlined its practices of targeting certain communities, especially Ukrainian. The organization has funneled over $4,000 just to put ads in Canadian Ukrainian Newspapers to find Nazi war criminals. The ads feature a Nazi officer preparing to hang an individual. There is a $10,000 reward offered which will go towards an individual who will point to an "alleged" Ukrainian Nazi. I compel Friends of the Jewish Simon Wiesenthal Center to read the Deschênes Commission report(http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Deschênes_Commission) and “Alleged War Criminals, the Canadian Media, and the Ukrainian Community” (http://www.ukemonde.com/luciuk/serbyn.htm). The Deschênes Commision has concluded that "allegations about thousands of alleged Nazi war criminals were "grossly exaggerated" and specifically identified various Jewish Canadian special interest groups as having been responsible for inflating this issue, identifying the Los Angeles based Simon Wiesenthal Center's Canadian representative by name".
Perhaps Friends of the Jewish Simon Wiesenthal Center should do a search on Amnesty's International website(http://www.amnesty.org) with a keyword of "Ukrainian" which brings up about 600 results, most of which list Ukrainians as being a victims of other Ukrainian nationals or trafficking of Ukrainian woman and children. A search for "Israel" returns a whopping 2800 results!! Most of which deals with "war crimes" where the Israelis are certainly not in the victims seat.
I urge Friends of the Jewish Simon Wiesenthal Center to redirect the money towards ads running in Jewish Newspapers, trying to find Jewish War Criminals!
