Volyn Song and Dance Company tour cancelled
Ukraine's most primer dance ensemble Volyn Song and Dance Company is currently in big troubles. The trouppe was invited to come to Canada by Leonid Oleksiuk, president of Ablaze Productions and to perform at Canada's best concert halls. However just minutes before boarding their flight to Canada the group has recieved a call from Ablaza Productions stating that their president is ill and advising the group against coming to Canada.
With $40,000(USD) borrowed from the government to pay for airfare and with tickets being already purchased the trouppe has decided to proceed believing that all of their arrangements are fine.
The group had no accomodations, so Victor Krisel, president of St. Vladimir Institute opened the institute's doors to them.
After just three performances where the attendance was low due to lack of advertising and promotion the tour came to a halt. The group is even considering to perform on the streets to recoup the money borrowed for the airfare.
The group is considering taking legal action against Ablaze Productions and its president.
